Zoosk is pleased to announce the winning couple of our RomanceFTW Contest! Congratulations to Irene and Jeff from Castro Valley, California for winning the grand prize! The lucky couple will receive $10,000 and a romantic vacation to their choice of Miami, San Francisco, or New York City, courtesy of Zoosk.

We caught up with the winning couple for a short Q&A. Here’s what they had to say!

How does it feel knowing you’ve won $10,000 and a free romantic getaway?

It feels amazing and we are still in shock that we really won.  We are extremely excited for our romantic getaway and to share a new adventure together. 

Did creating a couple profile help the two of you grow closer together? 

The couple profile got us to go through a lot of old photos of great memories of things we have done together that we might have forgotten about over time.  The pictures were a reminder of many good times that brought us to where we are today.

What’s been some feedback you’ve gotten from friends and family since entering our RomanceFTW competition?

Everybody has been wishing us good luck in the contest and wanting to know how they could help us.  During the contest, they enjoyed seeing our journey together through photos and making comments.  Now that we won, everybody has been really happy for us and lots of screaming when we tell them the good news.

What are you going to do with the prize money? 

Irene has plans of an iPad, shoes, clothes, birthday gift to herself and some for our romantic getaway.  I am sure some of it will go towards our wedding in October.

Would you encourage your couple friends to create a Zoosk couple profile?

We would encourage our friends to create a couple profile on Zoosk.  As I said earlier, it was a great way to go down memory lane and revisit all the things you have done together as a couple that made you fall in love in the first place.
