Zoosk Success Story: Congratulations, John and Leigh Ann from Fort Worth, Texas
I’ve been signed up for four days when Leigh Ann sent me a message with her phone number. We texted until about 2am and decided to go out that weekend. I knew there was something different about her the moment I saw her – call it love at first sight. We spontaneously walked around downtown Fort Worth talking for hours, grabbed dinner, and went to a local live music show where I sat in with the band and sang Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll”. We danced to Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters,” and argued over who first performed “To Make You Feel My Love” (we were both wrong). I dropped her off at her apartment, we kissed good night, and she said “I’ll see you next weekend.” We became an item a week later. Tomorrow will be five months that we’ve been together, and we’ve decided on getting married after she graduates from college in three years.

Zoosk Success Story: Congratulations, Dana!
In September of 2011, I had created a profile on Zoosk. I was tired of meeting guys in the traditional “bar scene.” A few weeks went by and I received a message from a guy that only included his phone number. It took me a couple days to think about if I wanted to call him. When I did, we agreed to meet up and have a drink, but I got scared and blew him off. Three days later I finally DID meet with him and I knew this was the guy I wanted to marry. After just six months in April he proposed to me and we just got married October 22, 2011. I never thought that it was possible to find someone like him. He puts me first and would like a family someday. There is someone out there for everyone. Thank you ZOOSK!!!!!

Is He That into You? Watching for the Signs
To know what a man’s intentions are when you meet them would be priceless. To know what a man thinks about you after a couple of dates would be helpful. However in reality, asking a man to be that honest upfront is like asking a woman to go upstairs on the first date. Instead, behavior of a man will always tell you the truth:
When you meet
- A man that is attracted to you and interested in dating or a relationship will do his best not to say the typical pick-up lines.
- If a man approaches you with a conversation full of pick-up lines, and is a smooth-talker, be cautious of what he really wants.
Once you start dating
- If he initiates communication with you on a regular basis, he is putting forth effort, and wants to show you he is interested.
- If you are always reaching out to him, and the same effort is not reciprocated, he may not be that into you. Someone genuinely interested in you will make time to communicate, even if it is just five minutes on the way to his meeting.
When you’re out
- If a man does not want to be seen with you in public, he is either not that into you or he has something to hide.
- A man that is interested in you will show you how he can be as a boyfriend
- If a man constantly looks at or talks to other women when you are together, he views you as a friend, and is not that into you
- If he is not interested in knowing you on a personal level, he may not be that into you.
- A man that is interested in you wants to know about your personal life, your background, and eventually your future goals.
Accept what his actions tell you, and try not to embellish what you observe into something you want it to be. If he is not that into you, do not try to force the issue. Continue your search, and find someone that is into you, and has no problem proving it!

We met March 24, 2011 and we got engaged Sept. 24, 2011. We’re getting married Nov. 24, 2012. Our relationship has moved fast, but finding love online isn’t what we intended. Clean Up Your Profile!

There are three stages of love: ‘Soon to be in love’ is first. ‘Recently out of love’ is the last. The only name for the one in the middle is “Double-Rainbow-Awesome, Yeah”. We’d like to help you from the first to the second. But it’s crucial to put your best foot forward.
This is the first of three posts about giving your profile a clean-up job. In this post we’re going to focus purely on content: what you want to say in your profile to help other Zooskers get to know you.
You want to say just enough to sound interesting, enticing and maybe a little sexy, but not so much as to commit the dreaded profile foul of ‘the overshare’! TMI (too much information) can kill a budding relationship like too much sunshine can wilt a young flower.
There are some things you want to say on your profile: you’re fun-loving and love good food. You have eclectic taste in people, decor and clothing and above all you believe in the freedom to express or do whatever you feel needs doing.
Some things are a bit too much: we all have been on a date where the other party talks about their ex, or how much they don’t drink any more, or their sex life. Seriously: some things don’t need to be brought up in the “getting to know you” stage. Nothing stops the “Double-Rainbow-Awesome, Yeah” phase faster than a guilt trip for all members of the opposite sex, or verbal abuse lumped on an unseen third party or a creepy amount of self-sharing. You don’t have to be unnaturally cheerful, but positivity never hurts!
Tell a good story. Describe the perfect date you’ve always imagined. How does your perfect match fit with you? Try not to make “campaign promises”. You’re not trying to “win” here, you’re trying to woo.
There’s a major difference.
