“We met on June 25, 2010 and started talking. That night, he called me at midnight and we talked until 6am. The next day we met face to face. Living in two different cities not a day that has gone by that we have not been together. We have met each other’s kids, friends, and he met my family. When we both got our weekend away, we traveled to Christmas at The Bay, South Bass Island and the US Lake Erie Islands. With the torrential downpour, we ended up sharing his camper with 10 or 11 other people. It was crazy because my tent collapsed! Neither one of us are in a hurry and we both just want to enjoy each other’s company. While we do care for each other very much, most importantly we’re friends. “Dawn and I met when we were both users of Zoosk and we were skeptical. I was married for 30 years and a widow. Dawn lived in Omro, Wisconsin and I was about 65 miles away in Waukesha ,Wisconsin. We loved each other from our first date. We talked several hours and saw each other every weekend. Her daughter set up a camper in her driveway just for me to spend weeks at a time there. I needed to be proper and she still had a teenager at home. Well with the approval of her son I moved in there and we were married the same year. We didn’t expect to fall in love so quickly but thanks to Zoosk we were brought together. We were married June 4th, 2011 in our backyard with all 5 of our children supporting us along with other relatives and friends. I gave him a small tour of my town and we shared chicken livers. I figured I would never see him again but he called me and now we’re going to get married on 11/11/11. I saw an advertisement for Zoosk on Facebook and decided to give it a try. We chatted for a few days on Zoosk, emailed for a week, talked on the phone for a week and had our first date on June 13, 2010. We got married January 2011. Congrats to Paul and Patti! They’re engaged!
Congrats to Paul and Patti on their engagement! This Zoosk couple met last year and will be married this autumn! We were thrilled to receive a message from Paul telling us how he and Patti met:
I joined the Zoosk community in May 2010, within 2 weeks I received a simple “Hi! Saw your photo and had to at least say hello”. So I responded with “Hi, now tell me more.”
A few Zoosk mails and then emails and phone calls later we were chatting on a regular basis. I was working out of town at the time so I couldn’t even meet her for a simple coffee. One weekend I decided I couldn’t wait any longer and arranged to see her. I drove right after an evening shift at work, basically from 11pm to 8 am. We had an early breakfast meeting and ended up spending the entire day together. I then drove home that night so that I could be at work the next morning. The end result was 46 hours awake! But 100% worth it. (more…)
