Zoosk Couple: Rodney & Selina

What a romantic success story we have for you today. Congrats to Zooskers Rodney and Selina! They met on Zoosk and are getting married – reuniting after 26 years! Selina wrote us to share her story:

Good morning to you. Yes it is true. My future husband and I are getting married in August of 2013. Rodney and I went to school together 26 years ago. We met again via Zoosk! Rather he found me. After talking a few times, we both realized that he was the same young man that was chasing after me in High School. He wanted to date back then but I was in a relationship with my now ex-husband.

Rodney was 2 years ahead of me in school and when he left school he started his life and I started mine. Now, 26 years later we are starting our life together. He keeps saying what are the odds of finding the woman that you wanted so bad from high school after so many years. I laugh at the question all the time, but I do wonder, what are the odds of finding one another after so many years and being in a real loving relationship with one another.

I would like to thank Zoosk for bringing me the best man that I could ever hope to spend the rest of my life with. We make each other so ridiculously happy that when we smile it makes our faces hurt. We are working on making this wedding almost as memorable as the proposal. Speaking of which, He wanted to propose in a way that neither of us would ever forget. While shopping at Lowe’s for some items to work around the house with, he got on his knees in the isle with the weed trimmers and surprised me with a little box and asked me to marry him. I was so stunned that I (Selina) was speechless, he laughed and told me to breathe. I closed my mouth, breathed and said said yes. I can’t wait to say I DO to the man that makes me spin in circles. Thank you again Zoosk.

My name is Leah, and I met my fiance Austin on Zoosk! Austin and I talked for about a week on Zoosk.com before we met on Dec 1st 2011. We knew right away that we were perfect together. We agreed on everything and to this day have never argued about anything. We got an apartment together in March of 2012 and we were engaged on July 28th. Congrats to Matt & Annely from Australia!

Congrats to Zooskers Matt and Annely from Australia! The couple met on Zoosk and now they’re married! Matt wrote to share his Zoosk success story:

My name is Matt. I’m 27 and from Australia. I just wanted to share our success story, thanks to Zoosk, of falling in love and getting married. My wife’s name is Annely, and she was in Australia on a working holiday visa at the time.

I joined Zoosk as a bit of a dare from my mates as I had been single for a while and not interested in the “usual” way of meeting girls in clubs etc, and Annely joined to try and make some friends in Australia while she was here. We first contacted each other through Zoosk last year, and then used Facebook and mobiles to chat to each other for several months before we met. We used to play 20 questions with each other as a bit of a game to get to know one another, taking it in turns to ask a question. After a while we realised we had so much in common and decided to meet. I then realised she would be returning to Italy once her visa had expired, and that I couldn’t live without her .. So I took her away to a nice beach not too far from us for the weekend and proposed to her on the cliff, with ring in hand. Now we are married and living together with a kitten we adopted from an animal rescue centre. We are both young and full of life .. and you have turned us both into believers that its not just losers or weirdos that fall in love online!!

I’m so happy that you introduced me to the girl of my dreams, and now we have a whole life ahead of us to grow together and build our future. I hope this makes you as happy as it has made us, so keep it up and THANK YOU!!

Zoosk Couple: Jeanne & Scott

Today’s Zoosk success story couple hails from Wentzville, Missouri. Jeanne writes:

“I first winked at Scott on June 28th, but he didn’t respond until 19 days later. I’m 49 and live in Wentzville and Scott is 46 but lives in O’Fallon. We “connected” almost immediately and spoke to each other almost every day. Once we exchanged phone numbers, we talked for 2-3 hours every night. Both of us were quite new to online dating and Zoosk. In fact, I was the first gal to wink at Scott, but it took him 19 days to respond. We’re both dog lovers, both have labs, so it seemed only fitting that our first date was a doggy play date at the dog park. It was raining, but we met there anyway. The dog park was closed, so we decided to sit under a pavilion in the rain and talk. Our dogs became best buds right away and played together in the rain for hours. We were both so excited and nervous about meeting each other that we were shaking. We stayed there for almost 8 hours talking and we didn’t leave until dark. The rain turned out to be a blessing. The park was empty and quiet and it was the most romantic date of my life. Since then, we have both looked forward to the rain and have even had some outdoor romantic dates to remind us of our first date. We both fell in love that day and we know that we will be together for the rest of our lives. Somehow, I have managed to stay single for 49 years and had convinced myself that I never wanted to get married.
